The AIGA New Mexico Showdown’s distinguished panel of nationally- recognized judges evaluated all entries according to a standard of design excellence and innovation. Each entry was judged on its own merit.

Bill Grant

President and Creative Director of Grant Design Collaborative

Bill Grant is President and Creative Director of Grant Design Collaborative in Atlanta, president emeritus of AIGA and an AIGA Fellow. Grant Design Collaborative’s work incorporates communication design, brand strategy, identity, advertising, product development, interiors and interactive. Bill has served two terms on the AIGA national board and was President of AIGA Atlanta from 1997–1999. Bill was named an AIGA Fellow in 2005.
Bill’s work has been honored by AIGA 365, Communication Arts, Print, I.D. Magazine, STEP, HOW, Graphis, Metropolis, Graphic Design:usa, Interior Design, Interiors, New York Type Director’s Club, and IIDA among others.

Terry Marks

Principal of tmarks

Terry Marks is principal of tmarks, a multi-disciplinary creative firm in Seattle, Washington. His work has been recognized nationally by Print, Communication Arts, Critique, HOW, Neenah Papers, Potlatch Papers and more. Mr. Crumbly Dreams A Tiger, a book which he wrote and illustrated, was selected as one of the ten “Perfect 10” projects by HOW magazine.
He is a published author including the titles Color Harmony: Layout from Rockport, 3 Feasts, self-published by O’Neil Printing, and Good Design: Deconstructing Form & Function. Terry is active with non-profits including the Link art outreach program in Seattle and ASTAR, a non-profit that treats autism. He also co-chaired the Oodles of Doodles For Your Noodle, an award-winning activity book for hospitalized and seriously ill children for Art with Heart. This year Terry was presented with the AIGA Fellows Award.

Gong Szeto

Director of Design at PEAK6 Investments, LP

Gong Szeto is the Director of Design at PEAK6 Investments, LP, a proprietary equity options trading firm and hedge fund. He recently designed OptionsHouse, a next-generation retail options brokerage, garnering top in category in design and usability in Barron’s in 2008. Gong is a recipient of numerous awards from Art Director’s Club, American Center of Design, Net Tech, CASIE, and was included in I.D. Magazine’s Top 40 Designers in the U.S. and Europe in 1996. He has served on the National Boards of the AIGA and Van Alen Institute for Public Architecture. He livesin Santa Fe, NM with his wife Bonnie Schwartz and daughter Willow Lin.
